Our Mission At
Our staff strives daily to provide superior customer service and tremendous value in the buying and selling of precious metals, coins and diamonds. Treasure Hunt’s goal is to build lasting relationships with our customers, colleagues and communities.
Proud to be Family-Owned and OperatedFor over 50 years Treasure Hunt has been a part of the Meredith family. Our founder, John Robert, and his wife, Barbara, created Coins, Inc. and operated in six Gimbel's locations. They then moved to Kaufmann’s until 1995, when John Robert passed away. John Rotherham Meredith, John Robert’s son, took over the family business and renamed it Treasure Hunt, opening stand alone locations in the Western Pennsylvania area and now expanding into Southeast Florida.
Quality Service in Convenient LocationsTreasure Hunt has ten locations in the Pittsburgh. The staff at each location is trained to offer our customers the highest level of service and knowledge in line with our motto: Honesty, Integrity and Exceptional Customer Service.
Commitment to Offering Our Customers the Best Possible PriceTreasure Hunt eliminates the negotiation process by offering the best price right from the start. Our high-volume buying means we can offer better pricing than smaller dealers, in-home gold parties or the “here-today-gone-tomorrow” companies that set up shop for a weekend. Get more for your valuables by coming to Treasure Hunt. No one treats you better.
Dedicated to Our CommunitiesWe are committed to serving our communities fairly and providing them with a high-quality buying and selling experience. Our organization is proud to have partnered with many charitable causes to help in any way that we can to raise money and awareness such as: The Susan G. Komen foundation's annual Race For the Cure, our holiday Make-a-Wish donation contribution, the Pittsburgh chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Live Like Lou Foundation seeking to find a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), to name a few.

Treasure Hunt Difference
I received a Gold & Silver inheritance. I went to 3 places, and the people treated me poorly, offered $2000, Tony was very professional and kind to me. Tony offered over $4000. He helped me tremendously on my fixed income.

No matter where I go, someone is always sharing their Treasure Hunt story.

Treasure Hunt truly Does Pay the Most. I went to two other jewelers with the same amount of gold to sell. Treasure Hunt paid $1,000 more than the previous high offer from the other jeweler. It is always a stress free, hassle free experience. I highly recommend their business. Thank you, Debbie.
